New York Fashion Week F/W 2014 - RAOUL, BCBG Max Azria

RAOUL

The black and white graphics stole the show in this diverse collection. Meteors, sculptors and art movements provided the inspiration for creative director Odile Benjamin.

BCBG Max Azria Fall 2014 RTW

This year, BCBG celebrates their twenty-fifth anniversary and the Fall 2014 collection is proof that the brand will remain a staple in the fashion industry for many more years to come.

The collection stays true to its roots – incorporating asymmetrical hemlines, bold, graphic color blocking, and a family of fuzz. Look after look proves why Lubov and Max Azria have been an industry favorite throughout the years. Each piece is styled perfectly with maxi hemlines, a simple palette of neutral colors, over sized outerwear, and knee-high boots.

Layering is essential, whether a fur collar or a woolly Mongolian coat, and many of the pieces are transitional for spring and winter. Among these, are pale blue and grey furs paired with relaxed 70s inspired frocks. And for the downtown girls, over sized baseball and biker jackets (with – what else! – fur) and lots of black dominated the runway.
Dare I say I’m ready for fall? Here are my top three looks from the collection.
